HOW TO REGISTER
Our camps fill up quickly! Online registration is the fastest and easiest way to ensure your child’s spot in their preferred camp(s).
If you are a returning family, you will be able to recover your existing online profile which will make registration that much easier for you!

*Registration CANNOT be taken over the phone, and camp placement cannot be guaranteed until you have completed all of the required steps online.

You may register online and pay instantly with your VISA or MasterCard using our secure website.
Southridge is a nut aware community, and as such, we request that you assist us in helping to create a safe and inclusive environment for all campers.
How can you assist?
- Please exercise caution when preparing your child’s food items by avoiding products that may contain peanuts or other tree nuts.
- Please read food labels before sending them in your child’s snack and lunch items, as many popular lunch items contain hidden sources of allergens (e.g. granola bars, cookies, candies, cereals, cupcakes, etc.)
- If you are sending home-baked goods, please take precautionary measures to avoid cross-contamination of allergens during the preparation process.
- Please look for the nut-free symbol available on products (candy, granola bars, etc.)
Please be aware that nuts contain oils that are easily spread by the hands onto other surfaces where they can be absorbed into the skin of a child with an allergy, resulting in anaphylaxis. Though we can never claim to be nut-free, we appreciate your cooperation in helping to keep our school nut aware. If you require further clarification or have any questions, please do not hesitate to contact Southridge Summer Camps.
A child who is not well should be kept home. We require an email or phone call to let us know of a child’s illness. Please email (email@example.com) or call the school (604-542-5385) first-thing in the morning to advise of your child’s absence – make sure to include their full name and camp. Children should not return to camp until they are healthy again.
ILLNESS DURING CAMP
If a child becomes sick during the day while at camp, summer camp administration will call parents at home or at work to ask them to pick up their child. Campers who are sick must be picked up as soon as possible after parents are alerted. While there is a sick room in the building, it is difficult for staff to give the student the attention they may need. If parents cannot be reached, the designated emergency contact on file will be called. Please make sure the emergency contact listed for your child is current and available.
BEHAVIOUR/STANDARDS OF CONDUCT
All campers are expected to follow the Summer at Southridge behaviour guidelines (as detailed in the Parent Handbook), and to interact in a positive and appropriate manner with their fellow campers, staff, and other members of the Summer at Southridge community. Negative behaviour (including, but not limited to: harassment, verbal threats, physical behaviour, bullying, etc.) that impacts others physically or emotionally will result in immediate dismissal or removal from camp at the discretion of Southridge. Campers may also be removed from camp as a result of behaviour that places them at risk or whose conduct is disruptive or otherwise deemed unacceptable. Refunds will not be granted for dismissal prior to the end of the camp day or week.
Once registration has been processed, transfers between camps may be made free of charge up to June 3, 2019, provided there is room in the camp you are requesting to transfer into. After this date, all transfers (for any reason) will be subject to a $25 administrative charge. Requests for transfers must be made in writing via email or letter (mailed or dropped off) and cannot be made online. There are strictly NO TRANSFERS during the camp for any reason.
All requests for refunds must be made in writing via email or letter (mailed or dropped off). A $40 cancellation charge per camp, per child, will be issued for all camp cancellations. There are strictly NO REFUNDS after June 3, 2019. Pro-rating and refunds are NOT available for days absent, or for any other reasons including injuries or illness.
Summer at Southridge reserves the right to change instructors or adjust camp content when deemed necessary. Summer at Southridge also reserves the right to cancel a camp due to insufficient enrolment or unavailability of instructors. If this situation arises, camps will be cancelled by 3:30 pm, one week before the start date, and every effort will be made to find a suitable substitute camp. If a suitable substitute camp cannot be found, all fees for a cancelled camp will be refunded.
Many of our camps fill up very quickly. This year, if a camp is full, the registration system will automatically give you an option to add yourself to the waitlist for that camp. In order to be fair and efficient, when a spot comes available, our office will contact the person at the top of the waitlist via email and give that person 48 hours to confirm whether or not they still want to be added to the camp. If we do not hear back from the first person within 48 hours, we will move to the next person on the list, and so on.
All children must be proficient in English in order to partake in the Summer at Southridge Day Camps program. This language requirement is essential so that children are able to communicate with camp leaders and to ensure their safety. Southridge does not have ESL resources and cannot provide a safe, enjoyable camp experience for children if they are not proficient in English. If it is determined during the camp that a child does not meet the language requirements, they will be withdrawn without a refund.
Pick-up time for all day camps is 3:30 pm SHARP. Unless your child is enrolled in the after-camp program, there is no supervision provided after 3:30 pm. If your child is enrolled in the after-camp program, the pick-up time is 5:00 pm SHARP. A $25 late fee will be charged for any late pick-ups.
