Southridge Students Win 11 Awards at B.C. Student Film Festival

BC Student Film Festival Winners

 

Southridge media students won 11 awards and were recognized in front of their peers from around the province on Saturday, May 26th, at the B.C. Student Film Festival awards gala at the VanCity Theatre in downtown Vancouver. The awards, adjudicated by industry professionals, recognize the top high school films in British Columbia.

In addition to the regular category awards, Southridge students received seven prestigious craft awards. Grade 10 student Arjan Kochhar was recognized for “Best Cinematography” and “Best Junior Film” for his documentary What Religion Means to Me. Arjan also received a Young Movie Makers Bursary and a CBC Prize Pack.
