When a family joins our community for the first time, we ask them to consider making a contribution through the Legacy Giving Program. Aptly named, this program has a proud legacy of high participation and has existed since our formative years. Donations received through Legacy Giving support annual capital expenses at the school (classroom technology, athletics equipment and library acquisitions, for example) and debt reduction.
The debt incurred to acquire and develop our land as well as construct the Junior and Senior Schools, peaked at $18 million. As of June 30, 2012 it has been reduced to approximately $7.7 million, thanks, in part, to the success of Legacy Giving.
Yes, we still have debt, but we also have big dreams. Developing students who will make a difference in the world is no easy feat. It requires the commitment of a community.
