POSITION DESCRIPTION:

FACILITIES MAINTENANCE - SUMMER INTERN (TEMPORARY - FULL-TIME)

Southridge School is currently seeking applications for a temporary full-time Facilities Maintenance Summer Intern. This is a great position for candidates who have an interest in general building and grounds maintenance. As there will be a variety of tasks to attend to, a strong work ethic is required along with the ability to work collaboratively with a team.

This position commences April 29, 2019 to August 23, 2019 and the hours are Monday to Friday from 8:00am to 4:00pm.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Minor maintenance repairs
  • Pressure washing
  • Furniture moving
  • Cleaning
  • General landscaping duties
  • Light lifting
  • Other tasks as required

Qualifications:

  • Previous building/home grounds/yard maintenance experience is an asset
  • Good communication skills
  • Effective interpersonal skills to establish connections with students, faculty and staff
  • Ability to work independently
  • Must enjoy working in a fast-paced work environment
  • Successful completion of a criminal record check
  • Valid BC drivers license is an asset
