Teaching and Administrative Jobs
Our founding Head of School, Alan Brown, described Southridge as “a lighthearted place of serious purpose.” Since the first classes were held in 1995, the school has become an active and vibrant community that includes students, alumni, parents, past parents and grandparents as well as faculty, staff, and administration. We care about and support each other, sharing and living common values guiding principles.
The idea of unity of purpose in community finds expression in how we describe Southridge’s offering and activities: One Idea (Academics), One Spirit (Philosophy), One Voice (Arts) and One Community (Service).
As team members and models for achieving excellence, faculty and staff embrace the vision and mission of Southridge and commit to making a difference within the school as well as in the wider society. We are a community of learners and seek out innovative teaching practices, especially in the use of school technology. As a Grade 5 – 12 laptop school, we strive to integrate technology across the curriculum in an effort to accommodate different learning styles and intelligences, enhance creativity, develop problem solving strategies, and improve critical thinking skills.
A Southridge education is built on four pillars: academic, athletic, fine arts and service. Each area provides faculty members opportunities to share their personal passions and talents through leadership in both curricular and co-curricular activities.
We strongly encourage and financially support Professional Development. Southridge takes a holistic approach to our employees’ well being. We are committed to the personal and professional growth of our team of 89 faculty and staff.
Finally, Southridge offers a pleasant working environment. We have a beautiful campus and facilities that include extras such as a full workout room and stone circle garden.
