The Grade 7 A boy’s basketball team travelled to St. George’s School for the ISEA Basketball Championships on Monday, February 20th.  The team was ranked 3rd in the league following a 40-39 loss to Mulgrave last week and started the day with a 31-25 victory over 6th place St. John’s School. With that win we had a semi-final game set against host St. George’s School. The boys were ready for a battle and that it was finishing with a victory in triple overtime 37-32 and a ticket to the finals.

In the finals, we faced Mulgrave who we lost to the week before. Again it was a close game all the way through but in the end we defeated them 41-39 to capture our 1st ever Boys Division 1 title.  This is historic because St. George’s has won 24 consecutive basketball titles from 1992-2016. The team had a great season finishing with a season record of 16 wins and 10 losses.  Outstanding season boys!!!
